It was Summer's last day in 1C today. We wish her all the best of luck at her new school on the Sunshine Coast. Our whole class will miss her bright, smiling face! We are sad to see you go Summer. Make sure you write us a letter once you start school to let us know all about it.
Wrapping up the term...
Well what a huge day we all had yesterday. Sports day is one of those days the kids really look forward to, and one of those days where we all go and have a big sleep once it's over! Doomba won overall, Koopa came second, Amity third and Mirimar fourth. I look forward to sharing the students recounts from the day.

To add a shortcut to your desktop - copy the web address, minimise the internet browser, right click on your desktop page, select new shortcut and paste the web address into the blank space.
Some of you will have noticed little yellow notes coming home. These are just to remind you that it's at this time of year students sometimes need a top up of stationery items. Please check with your child that they have everything they need including lead pencils, colouring pencils and pens, sharpener, rubbers and scissors.

It is hard to believe but we are almost halfway through the year! We have had a very busy six months!
We have Athletics Day on Tuesday (22/6) where your child will participate in a range of activities throughout the day. On athletics day students are allowed to wear coloured clothes to represent which sports house they are in (Doomba, Koopa, Mirimar or Amity). Please see me if you are unsure which house they belong to. Please feel free to come along on the day to cheer them on.
Semester reports are handed out on Wednesday (23/6). It is at this time I want to point out that all the students have made progress throughout the year, particularly over the last term. Parent teacher interviews will be held early in Term 3 if you require one.
The disco for the term will be on Wednesday night (23/6) at 5:30pm in the undercover area.
1C is attending "Life Education" on Thursday morning (24/6). If you haven't paid ($7.00), you still have time as final payments will be accepted up until Wednesday (23/6).
Friday (25/6) is the final day of Term 3. I know the kids are deserving of a good break!! It is Free Dress Day on Friday. The school has requested a gold coin donation (to send students to Cambodia for volunteer work), and a pantry item (for Rosie's kitchen in Caboolture).
REMINDERS:
* If you haven't already returned your dental form, please do so asap.
* Payments are still being accepted for Planet Rhythm ($4.50)
* There is no tuckshop in the last week of school.
