Swimming lessons for Year 1 will take place each Friday for the first 8 weeks in Term 4.

Cost: $45.00 (payment to cash window)




Students need:

• Togs
• Rashie/T-shirt (QLD's sun safety strategy has made it compulsory for students to wear a rashie or t-shirt if they are in an outdoor pool)
• Towel
• Swimming cap

The opportunity exists to pay the total amount in 2 equal instalments of $22.50 prior to lessons commencing.
Total payment is due by Wednesday, 6th October 2010.

Alma Park Zoo excursion

Excursion to Alma Park Zoo

Tuesday, 2nd November 2010

Cost: $21.50 (payment to cash window)

Children need:
- Full formal school uniform
- School hats
- Little lunch and big lunch packed separately in plastic or paper bags

We will need parents to accompany us on this excursion to help supervise small groups. These parent helpers will need to pay an entrance fee of $19 (payment to cash window prior). After you have a receipt of payment, see Mrs Hobson for an entry voucher.  This cost does not include the bus, therefore parents wishing to help out will need to drive.

All monies need to be paid by Wednesday 27th October 2010.

Year one's gold assemblies will be held on
Monday, September 13th in the hall at 12:45pm.

Today 1C welcomed Ms Keong to our classroom.  Ms Keong is a second year student from QUT who will be working with us until Week 2 of next term.  As part of her ongoing assessment, Ms Keong will be required to create a portfolio of her work.  To assist with this, please return the consent form regarding photos/videos of children asap.  Please remember that all photos/videos/observations will only be used as part of Ms Keong's studies. If you did not receive a consent form, please see me.

 The disco is on next Wednesday night (15/9) from 5:30pm. Theme for the disco is pirates or hippy.
